Elon Musk posted on Twitter a few hours ago a new drug called “Regretamine,” sparking a festival of memes on the microblogging platform. “A new drug coming out called Regretamine,” the Tesla and SpaceX chief tweeted, adding that popping a drug would help allay feelings of regret. “Pop one & all regrets are gone,” he announced, to the dismay of his supporters who couldn’t decide whether the billionaire entrepreneur was joking or not.
Some have wondered if Mr. Musk, co-founder of Neuralink, a company that makes “implantable brain-machine interfaces”, could really have invented a new drug. Others admitted that they didn’t fully understand what he was tweeting about, but speculated it might be a joke.
Several of the Regretamine memes made reference to Elon Musk’s past when it comes to makeshift tweets. Messages from him have swayed the markets more than once in recent months.

Many Twitter users thought the same and said that people who don’t invest in Dogecoin – a cryptocurrency that Elon Musk has repeatedly referred to in his tweets over the past few weeks – might end up by taking Regretamine.
Anyone who sells Dogecoin too soon will need a shipment of Regretamine at some point in the future to stop regretting it. pic.twitter.com/ARKnr9q8JZ

According to the Electrek news site, Elon Musk would come under scrutiny from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over his tweets about the cryptocurrency meme Dogecoin. His joking tweets helped increase the value of the cryptocurrency.
