Chennai: The Election Commission has issued a notice against DMK leader Udayanidhi Stalin, son of MK Stalin. Stalin has been issued a notice for making insulting remarks to former Union ministers Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj. Udayanidhi Stalin had blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the deaths of former Union ministers Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.
The Election Commission has directed that an explanation be given on the incident before 5 pm on Wednesday. The notice also states that the commission will take action if no reply is received. The Election Commission has taken action on the complaint of Tamil Nadu BJP leader Karu Nagarajan. The commission will receive the BJP’s complaint on April 2.
It is alleged that Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley were insulted at a public function in Dharampur on March 31. The family of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley had also come out against Udayanidhi Stalin’s bad remarks. They pointed out that Udayanidhi was saying such things for the election campaign.
