Discounts up to Rs. 1.78 lakh on Volkswagen Vento & Polo: Details

Volkswagen India is doing its best to increase sales. Volkswagen dealers are offering massive discounts on their Vento midsize sedan and Volkswagen Polo hatchback. The discounts depend on the variant you opt for and also offer trade and loyalty bonuses. By offering discounts on their vehicles, Volkswagen is attracting more customers to them because they know their cars have started showing their age compared to the competition.


For the Vento, the March reduction starts from Rs. 69,000 for the Highline Plus AT variant, while for the Highline Plus MT variant, the discount is a whopping Rs. 1.38 lakhs. On top of that, you can also get trade and loyalty bonuses worth Rs. 40,000. In total, you can benefit from up to Rs. 1.78 lakhs on the Vento. Volkswagen Vento starts from Rs. 8.69 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 13.68 lakhs ex-showroom. It is offered in four variants, namely Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus. Volkswagen Vento is currently competing with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Toyota Yaris and Honda City.


Polo is the cheapest offer from Volkswagen India. It comes in two gasoline engine options namely MPI and TSI. You can get discounts on both engine options. Trendline variant with MPI engine comes with benefits worth Rs. 52,000. Then there is the more powerful TSI engine with which you can get benefits worth Rs. 55,000 for the Highline Plus MT. Volkswagen Polo starts from Rs. 6.01 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 9.92 lakhs ex-showroom. It is offered in four variants, namely Trendline, Comfortline, Highline Plus and GT. Volksagen Polo competes with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, Toyota Glanza and the Hyundai i20.


The Vento is only offered with a single TSI petrol engine. The 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine produces a maximum power of 110 hp and a maximum torque of 175 Nm. It is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The same engine is offered with the Polo TSI for variants from Turbo Edition. There’s also a less powerful naturally aspirated MPI petrol engine offered with the Polo that serves as an entry-level engine for the cheaper variants. The MPI engine produces 75 PS and 95 Nm of maximum torque. It is only mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

T Roc 2

The German automaker also recently launched the T-Roc SUV, which is a fully built CBU or unit. The T-Roc sits under the Tiguan AllSpace which is Volkswagen’s current flagship. The T-Roc 2021 starts from Rs. 21.35 lakhs ex-showroom. It is powered by a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine capable of producing 150 hp of maximum power and maximum torque of 250 Nm. It is mated to a 7-speed DSG Dual Clutch gearbox as standard.
