Antigua: Two players collapsed during a women’s Twenty20 cricket match. The two West Indies players were upset during the women’s Twenty20 match between the West Indies and Pakistan.
The incident happened during the second Twenty20 match in Antigua. Within ten minutes of the start of the match, the Windies players Chinelle Henry and Chedian Nation were upset. Both were immediately rushed to hospital. West Indies cricket officials said the two were currently in good health. But the cause of the collapse is not yet clear. The match was later resumed with the substitutes down.
The Windies won the match. Batting first, the Windies scored 125 for six. The West Indies won by seven runs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule when it rained during the match. The Windies won the three-match series with two wins. The third Twenty20 match is tomorrow.
