AHMEDABAD: A BJP MP from Gujarat said on Sunday that workers in his party are not infected with the novel coronavirus because they work hard.
The Rajkot (South) lawmaker’s stance on the coronavirus came after reporters asked him whether failure to follow guidelines by political leaders and workers during the election campaign led to an increase in cases.
“Those who work hard are not infected with the coronavirus. BJP workers work hard, and as a result, not a single worker has been infected with the virus,” Patel said.
By the way, during the campaign for polls of local bodies last month, Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani was detected with the infection, and among other ruling party members who were tested positive at different times, the head of the state unit CR Paatil and several deputies.
