New Delhi; A fourth case has been registered against social media site Twitter. He pointed out that child pornography is constantly appearing in posts. The complaint was lodged with the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights. The case was registered by the Delhi Police Cyber Cell on the basis of the complaint.
Twitter has lost its legal protection due to non-compliance with the central government’s new IT rules and non-appointment of a Compliance Officer in India. This is the fourth case registered against the company since then. The case was registered by the Delhi Police along with the provisions of the Pokso Act along with the IT rules.
Earlier, the commission had lodged a complaint with the police on the same issue. The commission sent a letter to the Delhi Police Chief and the Cyber Cell after the issue was not resolved. The case was then registered. The commission also directed the top officials of the cyber cell to appear in person.
Earlier in the day, a case was registered against Twitter for allowing and posting racist comments on a Muslim elderly man in Ghaziabad. A case has been registered in UP and Madhya Pradesh for spreading false information about Kashmir and Ladakh on a Twitter website.
