CAA will implement, free travel for women; BJP issues manifesto in Bengal siraj daily

New Delhi | The BJP has released its manifesto for the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijaya Varghese and state party chief Dilip Ghosh unveiled a manifesto titled ‘Sonar Bangla Sankalp Patra 2021’ at the party headquarters in Kolkata.

The main promises at the first cabinet meeting were the implementation of the CAA, clean drinking water for all, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 for refugees for the next 5 years, and an increase in the pension for widows to Rs 3,000. Dilip Ghosh said that the manifesto was prepared after party leaders traveled across Bengal last month to seek the suggestions of the people.

The main promises are:

  • The CAA will be implemented at the first cabinet meeting
  • Clean drinking water for all
  • Free public transport for women
  • Mahishya, Thili and other Hindus will be included in the reservation
  • 10,000 financial assistance to refugees for the next 5 years
  • Mathua and Dalpatis scheme for a monthly pension of Rs 3,000
  • The pension for widows will be increased to Rs 3,000
  • CCTV surveillance to stop infiltration,
  • Time boundary fencing
  • Efforts will be made to give Bengali official language status

health care:

  • Ayushman Bharat will benefit everyone in the first cabinet meeting
  • Three new AIIMS in West Bengal (North Bengal, Jungle Mahal, Sundarbans)
  • 10,000 crore Kadambini Ganguly Health Fund

Education / Occupation:

  • 33% reservation for women in government jobs
  • The Seventh Pay Commission will be implemented
  • Free education for girls from KG to PG in government schools.
  • Bengali will be made compulsory in school education till 10th standard
  • Engineering and medical courses will be available in Bengali
  • Financial assistance for education of Dalit and Adivasi girls
  • Tea plantation workers are paid Rs. 350 per day

Agriculture:

  • 18,000 without ‘cut money’ for farmers under PM Kisan
  • 6,000 per annum for fishermen
  • An intervention fund of Rs 5,000 crore to ensure fair prices for agricultural produce
  • The Farmer Security Fund is Rs 20,000 crore
  • Kisan Credit Card will be upgraded to Rs
  • Insurance up to Rs. 3 lakhs for fishermen
  • Loans up to Rs 10 lakh will be given to MSMEs

Infrastructure:

  • Development of Bagdogra International Airport
  • Proposal for Netaji Express Highway between Kolkata and Siliguri
  • Nine tourist circuits will be set up in Bengal
  • Loan upto Rs. 50 lakhs for hospital sector (3 years interest free)
