Behra became a Malayalee by heart and wore a mund: emotional at the farewell ceremony Lokanath Behera retires as Kerala Police Chief today

Thiruvananthapuram: Loknath Behra said in his farewell speech that he is a Malayalee with all his heart. Behra was speaking at a farewell function given by the troops at the Peroorkada SAP ground in Thiruvananthapuram. He said that what he was wearing and speaking in Malayalam was not to show to anyone.

He is retiring today after serving in the Indian Police Service for ’36 years. There is no sorrow or grief. There will be recruitment, posting, promotion, as well as exit at some point in each person’s life. It’s one of the most important things in life. There have been ups and downs while sitting in the chair of the police chief for five years. But don’t worry about the lows. Rather, it is about reviewing the same and thinking about how to overcome it and bring about change. That is my philosophy for work. Behra said.

He started his speech by saying that he had no regrets about retiring, but his words stumbled when he spoke about Kerala. ‘ As a Malayalee with my heart, I would eat Idiyappam. Putt, I will eat cake, I will speak Malayalam, I will go to the temple wearing a mund … All this was done not to show it to anyone. It is something that has entered my heart. I am very grateful to the people and officials of Kerala, ”Behra said.
