Barcelona are said to remain keen to land Erling Haaland this summer, but have also come up with a fairly large list of alternatives in case they miss the Borussia Dortmund striker.
There are household names on the list, including Lautaro Martinez, who was wanted last summer, as well as his Inter teammate Romelu Lukaku, according to Mundo Deportivo.
MD believe Inter may be tempted to sell a key man this summer, to ease financial pressures, which could work to Barcelona’s advantage.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane, who apparently wants to leave the north London club, and Alexander Isak are also on Barca’s list. The Real Sociedad striker has previously been linked with Barca and has a € 70million release clause in his contract.
The report also mentions Juventus star Paulo Dybala, as well as the household names of Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay. Benfica’s Darwin Nunez is also recognized as a wanted player by Barca last summer because he switched to the Portuguese side.
It seems clear that Barca will do all they can to bring in a striker this summer, although at this point we are still not clearer as to who that might be. Remember that the club must first free up space in the team and on the payroll before the arrival of new players.
