Barcelona beat strong Sevilla in the final of the Copa del Rey Football Cup. Barcelona advanced to the final with a three – goal victory in the second quarter. Barcelona’s defeat in the first quarter was for two unanswered goals. Osmane Dembele, Gerard Pique and Martin Brathwaite all scored for Barcelona.
Barcelona, who struggled to win, did not give Sevilla any significant loopholes. Sevilla, meanwhile, were awarded a penalty by the Barcelona goalkeeper. Barcelona took the lead in the 12th minute through Osman Dembele. The second goal came in the 94th minute. Barcelona’s goal through Pique just as Sevilla were assured of victory in the match. With this, the aggregate score became 2-2.
With just a few minutes left in the game, Brathwaite’s terrific finish. Sevilla’s Fernando and Luke de Jong were sent off. The final is on April 17. Barcelona will face the winner of the Levante-Atletico Bilbao match in the final on Friday morning.
