Akshay Kumar Sooryavanshi’s film is set to hit theaters. This is when it will be released

Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated Sooryavanshi finally has a release date. Director Rohit Shetty, also starring Katrina Kaif, heads to theaters on April 30, 2021. The creators made the big announcement on Sunday, leaving fans excited.

The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

The crime drama has been waiting for a release for over a year now. It was originally scheduled for release on March 24, 2020, but has been postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and movie theater closures. He further ditched his exit from Diwali, leaving many wondering if the film will now be heading for an OTT premiere. The manufacturers, however, have rescinded all reports on its digital release.

Reliance Entertainment tweeted last year that they “are very confident that the current theater exhibit situation will improve a lot over time” to make way for the release of Sooryavanshi (and its other production, 83’s) .

Sooryavanshi is the third film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe after Singham and Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn star Simmba. The team released their trailer and teasers last year, while gearing up for release. In what we’ve seen in her trailer so far, Sooryavanshi is an action-packed Bollywood boiler.

Akshay Kumar plays DCP Sooryavanshi, who wants to stop a series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba also make appearances in the film, completing The Cops’ Journey. All the sequences promise an actor Rohit Shetty par excellence.

Speaking of the film, Akshay Kumar previously said, “Rohit made a fabulous film. I hope the audience will like it. Ajay (Devgn) and I started our careers together, and we got here, where we made so many movies together. It feels good when I get the chance to wear the police uniform. We are all fortunate to have opportunities where we play such good roles. “
