2021 Mahindra XUV500 interiors spied ahead of launch

Mahindra is working on a new generation of XUV500 which will be launched this year. The SUV has been sighted several times in camouflage gear on our Indian roads. Previously, the interior of the SUV was also spotted. However, this time there is a new video uploaded to YouTube by Motorbeam on their channel. The video presents the new interior design in much more detail.

As the man approaches the SUV, we can see the flush door handles. Then the video shows us the new interior of the XUV500. You can see the new 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel. There are a lot of buttons placed on the steering wheel that will be there to control the dashboard, infotainment system and cruise control. The knobs have a piano black finish with chrome surrounding the knobs. The steering wheel also has a flat bottom for a sportier appearance. Then we can see the double screens placed on the dashboard which should also receive soft-touch materials.

The left screen is the touchscreen infotainment system that will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are three layouts placed on the infotainment system, just like Kia’s 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment. The screen on the right corresponds to the digital instrument panel. On the left there is a speedometer and temperature gauge while on the right there is the tachometer which goes to 7000rpm, but the red line should be somewhere around 5000rpm . There is also a fuel gauge present to the right of the tachometer. In the middle of the speedometer and tachometer, various information will be displayed, such as speed in digital format, real-time fuel efficiency, average fuel efficiency and much more.

The vehicle that was spotted was an automatic transmission because the digital instrument panel displays “P” which is the parking mode in the SUV. There is also a new headlight and wiper rods. The rectangular air vents will be placed under the touchscreen infotainment system. The AC vents also receive chrome detailing around them for a more premium tune. It will also get a wide center armrest with a soft-touch material. From previous spy plans we also know that it should come with a manual parking brake.

The XUV500 will be delivered with a lot of equipment. It will come with automatic air conditioning, cruise control, LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, connected car technology, automatic headlights, LED taillights, panoramic sunroof, windshield wipers. rain detection, an auto-dimming interior mirror and much more.

So far there are rumors that the XUV500 2021 and Scorpion 2021 will be delayed due to the semiconductor shortage the world is facing. Semiconductors are widely used in vehicles. They are used in sensors for automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, electronic stability program, various electronic control units, safety equipment, etc. which also use semiconductors. The infotainment systems were then installed by the dealers themselves. You can read more about this by clicking here. Once launched, the 2021 XUV500 will compete with the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.
