2.74 trillion crore FDI inflows reach record high At Rs 2.74 trillion

MaDuring the financial year ended March, foreign portfolio firms invested Rs 2.74 lakh crore in the domestic market.

Prior to this, they had invested a maximum of Rs 1.4 lakh crore in 2013. NSDL has released the relevant information.

Emerging markets have seen huge investments over the past 12 months. But the inflow of capital to India is higher than that of other markets.

According to the Ministry of Finance, government policies and the recovery of the economy have attracted foreign firms to the market. The simplification of the rules also increased the inflow of foreign investment.

Various rating agencies and research institutes have predicted that the growth forecast for the 2021-22 financial year will be more than 10 per cent.
